ANDREW SCHWARTZBERG

Mr. Schwartzberg has built a career preserving affordable housing communities throughout the United States.  In addition to focusing on the objectives of PHG, Mr. Schwartzberg is also a principal in SSC Partners, LLC, The Affordable Housing Management Group, LLC and Subsidized Rental Housing Investments, LLC, which collectively hold interest in over 25,000 low-and-moderate income rental housing units. 

Prior to forming PCH, Mr. Schwartzberg held various investment banking and hedge fund leadership positions with Schroder Wertheim, Inc., SAC Capital Management, Inc. and Convergent Wealth Advisors.  Mr. Schwartzberg is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

ANDREW AGETSTEIN

In 2012, Andrew Agetstein formed American Preservation Partners, LLC (“APP”) with the objective of serving for-profit and non-profit owners of affordable housing communities in their furtherance of developing and operating multifamily housing for low-income families.

Previously, Andrew served as Vice President of Transactions for Apartment Investment and Management Company (AIMCO) from 2002 to 2012. In this capacity, Andrew was responsible for redeveloping AIMCO’s affordable housing portfolio utilizing LIHTCs and creative financing structures.  

Prior to his work at AIMCO, Andrew worked as an Investment Banking Analyst for Wasserstein Perella & Co. in the Financial Restructuring Group focused on Chapter 11 (bankruptcy) workouts and debt restructurings.

Andrew earned a graduate degree in Real Estate Development from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from The George Washington University.  Andrew lives in Arlington, VA with his wife, two children and is an avid baseball fan (Let’s Go O’s!).

RICHARD CHARLTON

Prior to forming PHG, Rich Charlton was a Senior Development Manager at the National Foundation for Affordable Housing Solutions, Inc., where he began his career in affordable housing as an Analyst in 2004.  Rich has vast experience underwriting potential deals to determine acquisition feasibility and redevelopment strategy, leading the development team through the feasibility, due diligence and construction phases, securing financing and raising investor capital, and working with government agencies and community stakeholders.

Rich studied for his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Economics at George Mason University’s School of Management. He lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife and three daughters.

WES GASSERT

Prior to forming PHG, beginning in 2012, Wes Gassert was a Senior Development Manager for the National Foundation for Affordable Housing Solutions, Inc. (“NFAHS”).  At NFAHS, Wes was responsible for managing the development of multiple multifamily and elderly apartment projects from asset selection through construction completion and project close-out.

Prior to joining NFAHS, Wes served in a similar capacity at the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing as well as for Apartment Investment and Management Company ("AIMCO") from 2005 to 2012.  Wes got his start in the affordable housing world as an Analyst for the Community Development Trust focused on originating long-term financing for LIHTC properties.

Wes earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from The University of Maryland.  Wes lives in New Orleans, LA with his wife and two dogs and enjoys taking in the culture of his newly adopted city.
